514 Warren Street is a retail incubator space powered by a cooperative work force and houses maker studios.

We showcase the best in handmade and vintage from the Hudson River Valley featuring veteran and emerging makers and collectors on a rotating basis. So any given visit, you may feel like you’re in an entirely different shop and learn about the different creative entrepreneurs in the region.

Hudson River Exchange created the pop up series to offer a place for makers to connect with fellow creatives and their audiences offline in a physical space.

The Handmade Pop Up program offers unique benefits:

  • Be at two places at once. We offer an opportunity for your product to be in brick and mortar space while you fill online orders or are selling at market events.

  • Brand exposure. Hudson River Exchange showcases the products and stories of makers + collectors on our social media and newsletter. It’s a marketing investment that pays for itself.

  • Thoughtfully displayed and merchandised. Visually merchandised by Hudson River Exchange and placed alongside great makers + collectors.

  • Customer engagement. The internet is great but reach a wider audience with experiential encounters with your product. It also gives you a reason to reach out to existing customers to come check out what you’ve been working on.

  • Dip your toe into retail. Curious about what it’s like to have a brick and mortar space? You can see this as an experiment to see what it’s like with the benefit of having guidance and support from Hudson River Exchange.

  • Mentorship. This is a retail incubator designed to support small independent makers at different stages of their business.
